Invitation Consultants launched their wedding invitation range in 1999. They quickly expanded their invitation range more broadly. Their expertise in wedding invitations is not lost however, extending to over 1700 designs to choose from across a broad range of budgets and styles.
This site is perfect for you if you want to customize and personalize an invitation design from an extensive range and your budget is between $0.71 per 100 to $6 per 100 invitation range.
This site is not for you if you want to create a bespoke invitation or want to do it yourself.
| Site Layout |
The site caters for all types of invitations, but, having started as a wedding invitation specialist, this is a well catered for category and can easily be found under ‘Weddings’ on the top navigation bar.
Once in “weddings” you can search and filter using check boxes to define any of your criteria. You can narrow your search by Price, Color, and Brand on the left hand navigation. Or, by theme, color, paper style, classic style, affordable elegance or wedding |
| Design | The design range is outstanding. The majority of styles are printed using thermography or flat printing, but if you are happy with that printing technique, then you are likely to find a design to match your wedding plans here. With over 1700 designs, all color palettes, styles and budgets are catered for.
There is no DIY section or bespoke custom service available, however, most designs can be customized by ink, font and color and have matching items (response cards etc). |
| Additional Services |
Printing of addresses on the back of envelopes – very handy if you are planning on more than 25 people being invited. |
| Samples | Are available for a very reasonable $2.50 each. This will get you one copy of the unprinted invitation (not response cards etc). These ship in 7-10 days for free, or can be rush shipped for $15.
The cost of these can be credited to any eventual order (but only to the value of $5). |

| Process | When you select a design, you see all the details for that product, including customizing options and delivery timeframes.
You then add your wording, color and font choices and you see (immediately) how this will look on your invitation. This gives you complete control over the layout, font, font size and positioning on your invitation. Once you are happy with your invitation, you proceed to the shopping cart. It is a well designed process, that makes it easy to navigate an incredible breadth of design choices. If there is a customization outside those standardly offered, you can request this via their in house designers, for a fee. |

| What I Loved | The extraordinary range. This business started in wedding invitations and it shows. There are over 1700 designs to choose from across a fantastic breadth of designs and budgets.
Personalization is real time. As you enter the wording and change colors, you see the result on the invitation instantly. |
| What I Didn’t | The majority of the designs are thermography or flat printed. Very small ranges in other printing methods. You also can’t filter by printing method (although you can use the search box to get around this if you prefer).
There is no free pdf proof (although you can preview your final card online prior to ordering and you can pay for a final proof if you want one). Some invitations require assembly, but there is no true DIY option.
