Betsy White is named after a bird in Barbados whose song sounds a bit like ‘BetsyWhite’. This is where found Gia Graham grew up and the bird call reminded her of happy times and so was an apt name for her company.
This is site is perfect for you if you want stylish and affordable wedding invitations in a range of beautiful ink and paper combinations. Or, if you are a DIY bride looking for a professionally designed logo to use for your own wedding related printing.
This site is not for you if you don’t like single ink and color combinations, thermography printing or are wanting to customize your invitation designs. Its, also not for you if you need a rush service.
| Site Layout |
The site caters for stationery needs for weddings, personal, baby and party invitations, but has a very strong focus on weddings, including a fantastic offering – wedding logo (more about this below).
You can navigate either by the top or left hand side, with options similar for both. The Left had side also has loads of very useful FAQs about their ordering process and general wedding invitation information/basics. Under ‘Wedding Invitations’ the designs are listed over 4 pages, alphabetically according to the design type – eg ‘Garden’, ‘Love Logo’ etc. There is no filter or sort/search options. When you view a design you can email it, add to cart or order a sample. There is also a ‘you might fancy’ recommendation which is handy. |
| Design | All the designs are unique to Betsy White Stationery Boutique. They are predominantly printed using thermography and are offered on ecru, white and other colored papers. Printing in other dark colors is flat.
There are around 50 designs in the range, which is being updated. The designs share a particular styling, focusing on a plain background with a singe colored ink printing in a particular logo. This can be themed – garden, beach, vintage, monogram – or simple, traditional fonts. You can make selections within the options provided for ink color, paper color and font. The color range is particularly extensive. No other customizations are available. The paper styles come in standard, deckle edged, round edged, square or tea-length and there is an extensive range of coordinating stationery. |
| Additional Services |
The Wedding Logo service is a fantastic innovation. You are able to select from a wide of range of monogram logos, have it personalized to you and your partner’s names and then buy the logo for use either in home printing of stationery or professional printing of stationery, or other items – eg favors, napkins etc. This is the ultimate in stylish DIY – all the professional design, but with the flexibility to add it to your wedding however you choose.
Return address printing is also available for a fee. |
| Samples | Are available for $2. This includes invitation, inner and outer envelope with return address printed. This a standard set, so you may not receive the color you are planning to use. |
| Ships To | Within the USA – Via FedEx, $ depending on weight, signature required.Internationally – Canada – via FedEx International Ground
Internationally – All Other Countries – FedEx International Priority or US Postal Service (depending on country) |
| Process | When you select a design, you can select your ink, paper and font options and add your wording. You can preview color/paper combination, but there is no online preview function for your personalized wording and layout. This must wait for the proof which will be with you in 1-2 business days.Proof review and edits can take up to 2-4 days, depending on the changes you required. Printing and production is 10-14 days.
The FAQs about this process is very detailed and comprehensive and includes re-print and cancellation policy (one placed 35% to cancel). |
| Price | With a motto of ‘stylish design, deceptively affordable’ you would hope for reasonable prices, and BetsyWhite deliver on this.
A small range at $147 for 100 invitations, but most between $230 – $475 for 100 invites. |
| What I Loved | The Wedding logo option – either with BetsyWhite printing for you, or you taking it away for your own DIY adventure is unique and a great way to combine professional design and DIY.
These designs are not to found anywhere else – they are unique to BetsyWhite Stationery Boutique. Have a tracking service, so that once your order is placed you can log in at anytime and see where your order is up to – a great option for brides who need to feel in control (don’t we all!). Have a great blog – Flights of Fancy – jam packed with loads of wedding invitation ideas. Definitely worth a visit. |
| What I Didn’t | If you like the overall design approach for BetsyWhite (plain paper, colored ink, logo based), then you will love their collection of interpretations of this across a number of styles. If you want multiple colors, other printing processes, more designs, then you will find their selection limited.
Long printing and production timeframe – 10-14 days may be realistic, but you need to be comfortable to wait it out. There is no rush service available. No filtering options for narrowing your search on invitation designs. No online preview of the personalization of wording. Color preview is very good though.

| Hot Tip | BetsyWhite offer an extensive range of coordinating items, each beautifully and thoughtfully adapted to suit its purpose, while keeping with the chosen design style. Also – their ‘Save The Date’ range has just been extended and includes a much broader range of designs than the invitations. These are worth looking at, regardless of whether you choose to your full wedding stationery from Betsy White. |
